Sign up as an Instructor
1. Log in to WIDS using your Western username and password. Once logged into the
software, you will land on the home page and see My Curriculum Projects as shown
below. Click on the course where you will build your syllabus.

2. If your course is in the list, skip to step 6 of these instructions; once you have signed up
for a course, you do not need to sign up again. Note: anyone can sign up to be an
instructor in any active course in the WIDS software.
3. If your course is not under My Curriculum Projects, click on Advanced Search.

4. Type the course number into the Search Projects for this Text box. For example, the
number for Business Management Capstone is 10102133. If you do not know the
number, type in the name of the course and click Search.
5. Click on the Search result.

6. You should arrive at the Course Outcome Summary tab.
Click on the Project Management tab.

7. Click on Management and then Click on Instructor Sign-up.

8. You will see the Instructor Sign-up screen as shown below.
Click on Edit.

9. Click on Add, and you will be automatically added.

Now you are ready to create Learning Plans, Performance Assessments and a Syllabus!
