Engaging Review Activities
January Lesson – Engaging Review Activity: January is a great time to rejuvenate and use our creative energies to reflect upon our instructional delivery and coursework and how actively we engage our students in the learning process. This assignment is meant to be enlightening and productive! Take a look at an area of your curriculum and plan a new engaging review activity that will be useful for your students this semester. The purpose is NOT to reuse an old activity but to take the time now to prepare a new review activity to use later in the semester. It could entail concepts to master around a chapter or unit review or case studies for discussion and role play. Please be prepared to share your NEW review lesson/activity at our next NFE gathering and what you liked about your new method of review. Do not use an old activity. You may feel free to use any one of these ideas for an activity or use one that you’ve heard about and have been wanting to create, but haven’t yet taken the time to experiment with to date. Dig Deeper: Feel free to research on your own to find just the right review activity to suit your needs best if this collection doesn’t suit your needs. Then create a new review activity to infuse into your curriculum for review of content. Discussion: Be prepared to share your activity and how it will actively engage the learners in a thorough review of the concepts you want them to master centered around your curriculum.
