Q3 - What did you like about this program?
The program is very interactive with outside sources and I also really enjoyed the electrical section of the whole
course.
Very interactive, more hands on class time with good amount of classroom time. great smart instructors, all
students get along well.
I liked the hands on training you get with everything and the spand of tools you have access to. The professors are
great and will take you as far as you want to go with this program. All the professors/faculty are nice as easy to
get along with and are also fair I believe.
I like the hands on experience that you get in the classes. And all the instructors are very helpful when you need
help.
I appreciated the hand on portion with costumer vehicles.
It was a fun and challenging program that has given me the knowledge and foundation to pursue a career in the
Diesel and heavy equipment fields.
I like this program because it was fun and the instructors are great
I liked that a lot of the classes were hands on activities. That helped me learn more and faster.
The instructors
The thing I like most about this program is learning the tools that I need to be successful. Ive learned so much I
can compete with other techs that have been in the field for 5+ years.
teachers are dedicated to the students
That i learned alot in this program and they make sure everyone is doing good and liking what they do

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
more up to date engines such as the new x series cummins most line haul trucks are using today.
nothing, very well updated with plenty of new equipment to work on and also learn the basics on the old stuff.
nothing
I would like if they did a little of agriculture in the mechanic section. And we should get our CDL since we are
working on trucks.
I would make it more strict on the passing criteria.
academic leniency was granted to a certain individual that should not have received it, causing the integrity of the
program to fall into question
nothing
It would be nice if there was more classes on the heavy equipment side of things.
More Heavy Equipment
I would've really liked to have completed the HVAC certification. I also would've liked to obtain my CDL through
school. With those two things the opportunity to be able to work anywhere is then achievable.
days are really long for the students who work a full time.

maybe not as much time with one teacher. spread it out more

Q31 - CONCLUSION Please use this space to share any other feedback, comments, or
suggestions about your experience at Western Technical College.
Its as close to reality as your going to get before hitting the real world.
impressed with the program, plenty of new truck and software, exactly what you will see in the real life.
Good program, just needs some more service lit.
I was very impressed in the program and I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to get into this
program.
You will get the point.
The program should look into setting up so that students can obtain a CDL while in school as it is required in
almost every shop
all in all I was impressed with the program and learned a lot it was defiantly worth it
The instuctors are all really knowledgeable and help make this course really good going.
This program is a really good program and i learned alot but i didnt feel the safest all the time with people.
