Q3 - What did you like about this program?
I liked everything about this program. It was all new information for me and it was enjoyable learning new skills
and gaining knowledge about how the healthcare system works.
I liked how the instructors were very helpful. They were prompt in answering my questions and were always
willing to help. I liked the layout of the program. I know that it is about to be redone but I thought it was in an
order that made my education go smoothly.
I liked the ability to work on your own with your own schedule. I felt my instructors were extremely helpful any
time that I needed help with anything and made themselves available.
I liked the format of the program, I found that all the classes progressed into the others. The instructors were
always available for me to answer any questions. The instructors gave me a lot of support and confidence to
persevere.
Most classes offered online. Great support from instructors. Study groups encouraged.
I liked the variety of concepts that were taught. I feel I have obtained a very sturdy foundation of knowledge to
help me get started in a very promising career.
I liked that we could do the majority of our studies online.

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
I would add more technology to the program. More emphasis on Excel would be beneficial.
I don't know if there is anything that I would change about this program. It is already being redone with some
classes changing.
The only thing that I would change is to maybe have some way to clearly explain how all of the things we learn
interact with each other in the workforce.
One of the changes I think this program would benefit from would be to have the actual face to face meetings in
the evenings versus the mornings/days. This would allow the working adults to not have to use vacation
time/comp time to come to classes. This program is primarily focused on the working adult who want the
credentials to move up the career ladder.
Nothing that I can think of.
There is nothing I would change. The program is very well organized and everything is very reasonable;
assignments, reading, exams, deadlines, etc. The instructors are amazing so don't change them, ever!
I would change the questions and curriculum to match the books we use better.

Q9 - Provide any comments you have on mathematical concepts you learned.
I took a statistics class about 30 years ago and it was beneficial to revisit it. I also started to use Excel whenever I
could as a math aid.
I liked the statistics class. Yes, it could be challenging because it is math but the class was done really well and the
instructor was always willing to help.
I learned how to apply data and other information into chart for evaluation and studies.
statistics. That is all.
I felt I had above average skills with Exel before taking this course. After this course, my skills are quite
exceptional!

I had never taken an anatomy class before and I found it very interesting. It was not an easy class but it was a
good class.

Q13 - Provide any comments you have on critical thinking skills you learned.
We touched on many of the same things in a class that was in the first semester and through the following
semesters.
We had to apply what we learned to many different scenarios for assignments.
We applied critical thinking to almost every assignment we have had for the past two years.
As a result of this program being in the online format I have developed the skills to not only be a critical thinker
but also I have become a self-learner.
Tests became more difficult towards the end of the program. Rather than knowing a definition of something, we
were given a situation that we needed to identify through thought, rather than memorization (knowledge had to
be applied).
Critical thinking activities were one of my favorite parts of this course! I found I have a passion for it. It is
challenging.

effectively.
Never used Powerpoint and Access before and so I learned how to use that. Had a little knowledge of Excel and
Word but now I feel like a pro.
We have had to use quite a few different programs. My skills with technology have improved through this course.
Everything that we do is on computer and online; research, assignments, quizzes etc
Its an online program. It has been necessary to figure out how to use technology.
Technology was introduced through our PPE experience and online through the VLab

I believe that sustainability should guide your decisions and we all have to protect the environment. Reduce

There were a couple classes that touched on the environment. This is a technology heavy class, meaning we use a
lot of it and learn different aspects of it. We were taught how this may affect our earth.

Q31 - CONCLUSION Please use this space to share any other feedback, comments, or
suggestions about your experience at Western Technical College.
Western is a very good college. I loved my time here.
I think that this program has sufficiently prepared me for my chosen career path.
I was overall very pleased in my program. My instructor was extremely helpful and made herself available any
time that I needed it. This was most important to me since mostly everything is online.
I value the education that I have received here at Western It has been a great 3 years and I have learned a
tremendous amount. Now I am ready to start my new career.
