Q3 - What did you like about this program?
Meet new people with different ideas with a broad spectrum of help.
I liked the amount of information that is provided in a 2 year degree. I also liked that we were able to touch base
with a lot of programing languages and then a little networking here.
I liked that most of the classes were in the same building.
I like the programming classes.
I believe our program did a great job at hands on learning.

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
Deeper code design and concepts explained more thoroughly.
One thing that can be changed from what I've would have like would be learning the more popular languages a
little bit more in-depth rather than just having an intro class then ending it there. One other thing is learning an
old language such as RPG. I never even heard of it until I took the class. I would much rather just have one class
that just gives a general understanding on how old programing languages would work and spend more time
learning about the up and coming languages that would be more beneficial to us in the future.
At the beginning of the program, the layout of the course schedule seemed to be mixed up. for example: We took
a course on ASP.Net that involved SQL queries, and then the next semester featured a class specifically on SQL.
I would change the order so SQL is before the Visual Basic with database class.
I would remove RPG from the program. RPG is a dying language and the instructor does not understand the newer
versions of RPG. Java 2 should be part of the program. Expand IT orientation to be more useful. Adding UML and
other useful topics that most classes do not have time for.

Q7 - Provide any comments you have on effective communication skills you learned.
We had several communication and soft skills, while these classes were great for introverted stereotypical
programmers. For extroverted and well spoken students these classes were a waste of time.

Q33 - CONCLUSION Please use this space to share any other feedback, comments, or
suggestions about your experience at Western Technical College.
Very good experience over all. The Collage needs to make the student email more streamlined with the emails
students already have. Teach more difficult situations when coding but not test on them, since most everything
can be googled. Be more open with events and clubs. Spend less money on over priced gadgets "Chrome books
are not worth $1500" and more on useful labs. Talk with software companies for field trips to show students
what it actually looks like and acts of the jobs they are going for. For the few trips i was on I not once seen a
person coding, maintaining a server, or conducting meetings.
I've had a great experience at Western Technical College since my enrollment in 2014. I feel more independent
and I'm able to make more rational decisions thanks to the instructor's guidance at Western Technical College. I
would also highly recommend Western Technical College to anyone as it is a great school that has a lot of
knowledge to offer for a technical college.

XXXXX XXXXX - XXXXX was great at exposing the class to numerous concepts. This often came across as
scatterbrained. XXXXX XXXXX - XXXX had great focus and always had an agenda. XXXXX XXXXX - XXXXX was very
kind and helpful. The classes were too project focused and neglected some of the fundamentals for developing
these projects.
