Q3 - What did you like about this program?
I liked having an opportunity to be creative in school and take motion graphics, video, and photography
courses. The instructors were great, and I feel like I'll be able to continue to talk to them about what I'm doing
with my life as time goes on. Also, the advanced video production class was the most valuable course in the
program for me. It was an excellent experience to work with clients and make projects that I was proud to put
in my portfolio.
I liked the hands on experience with learning how to present with different types of software.
The freedom to do mostly what we want to do.
How hands on this program is and the different equipment and programs we were able to handle. I also like
the small class sizes as well as how helpful the instructors are.
I learned video skills and editing software that is required to in the work field. The instructor was well informed
about the material he taught in classes.
It covered a wide scope of the industry and all efforts were made to teach new technology which is hard to do
when there is a new piece of hardware every week.
The professors and hands on experiences.

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
I wish I could have taken Adobe Illustrator with Visual Communications students and not the graphic design
students. I'm not sure if there is a section for Visual Communications students specifically, but because I wasn't
great at digital art when I took the course, I felt discouraged seeing what the graphic design students were
capable of doing. I also would add a more advanced motion graphics course but keep it as an elective for
students to take if they're interested in becoming better in the motion design field. It would be a great way to
improve Illustrator and Photoshop skills, too.
I would change the types of projects done. I would want more types of media required for projects. Maybe to
have more requirements of media, audio and graphics inputted into the projects.
The AVS building was the worst. Also, more classes would be good.
I don't really have anything I would change. I really liked this program.
Add a character and story development class or add those elements into some of the video production classes.
And marketing, marking a person and branding their skill.
Nothing
Getting even more hands on with more media platforms.

Western Technical College was one of the greatest educational experiences I've had and invested in. The
instructors care a good deal about my successes, though I believe it is what you put in that determines what
you get out. I made sure to be involved in my career driven major and I made sure to interact and connect with
my instructors and advisors. Thank you Western Faculty.
