Learning about a subject in lecture and then having hands-on activities to reinforce what was learned during lab and clinical. Students complete multiple class & community presentations to develop this skill Q9 - How many graduates are able to apply mathematical concepts? 100 % Q10 - Provide any comments you have on the application of mathematical concepts taught in this program. Mathematical concepts are integrated through out the program especially during lab activities Q11 - How many graduates are able to transfer social and natural science theories into practical applications? 100% Q12 - Provide any comments you have on transferring social and natural science theories into practical applications, and how it is taught in this program. Previous science and psychology knowledge is incooperated into practice throughout their clinical experience working with dental material and with all interactions with patients Q13 - How many graduates are able to use critical thinking skills? 100% Q14 - Provide any comments you have on critical thinking skills taught in this program. Critical thinking skills are taught and practiced in lecture and lab. Then these skill are applied in the clinical setting with patient care. Students take a ethics course where concepts are introduced. Students are placed in a variety of clinical settings where these skills are practiced. Sustainability is integrated thought out the program. Students have to report on clinical site sustainability practices. Advanced dental procedures are taught in the spring term in lecture and practiced in lab. Then in the last two clinical rotations students much show competency in these advanced skills.
