I feel I have learned how to word the things I want to say in the proper way to get my point across effectively. The communication was awesome! I've gotten replies on every single one of my emails in 12 hrs or less, depending on if the instructor was at school or not. The instructors are very approachable and I felt very comfortable with them. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Monday, November 18, 2013 I think no matter how the courses are configured, either all online or blended, someone will have a problem with it, but I think the things I would change are more class time for the harder classes (coding, healthcare stats & research) and make some of the other classes that are easier with no class time (HIM organizational resources). That's just my opinion! Different clinical sites I was able to see what went on behind the scenes of the medical process. Not sure if I would change anything about this program. I feel they covered everything to completely prepare us for the medical workforce. 0 Yes Yes Apply mathematical concepts. I experienced some accomplishments My favorite thing about the course was definitely that most of the course can be taken online. Also, the instructor/student communication was awesome! I feel this program teaches students a lot about the rules and regulations of the medical field, and gives them many opportunities to be leaders within the medical field. Even if you don't want to be a leader, there are also many different types of behind the scenes jobs that need to be done as well. 0 Yes Use effective communication skills. Yes for budgeting I hate math, but we got through all math concepts fairly well. I thought all the math we did was 100% relevant and was a great learning opportunity. Yes, I feel I have learned how to use mathematical skills in documents to save time and create effective/thorough documents/information to present to others. This is very important to know and understand when working with the public. Outcome was great in this area. No mention about valuing myself was ever made in any course. 0 Yes Make decisions that incorporate the importance of sustainability I do always want to improve this aspect. Thinking critically was essential in all classes in this program and I feel that I am better prepared for future employment by improving these skills from this program. This program gave me the skills to look at a situation and make a decision within a reasonable amount of time, and to be as accurate as possible. Look at the whole picture before making any kind of decisions. Many assignments you had to really think to find the solution. 0 Yes Use technology effectively. Great outcome. I feel they have covered this area well to give us a complete scope of how theories came into play from the past to the future, and how they still apply in everyday situations. Feedback I would like to have had a little more exposure to HIT software packages. Technology use was one of the most important thing in this class and I feel with out the proper technological knowledge, there would be no way of completing this program. My technology skill have come a long way since the beginning of this course. My technology skills have increased greatly since I have enrolled in this program. Being able to make decisions that incorporate the importance of sustainability is very important in the Health Information Technology field. The word sustainability never came up in any class. However, again I would like to have had more exposure to different applications. I have learned a lot about how to manage and maintain electronic applications to manage health information. 0 Yes Yes Aggregate Assessment of Achievement This program teaches a lot about model professional behaviors and ethics, which I feel is very important in any field. Great. However, this is a subjective issue because everyone can have a bad day and not be 100% professional. 0 Yes Yes Apply organizational management techniques The clinical is where I learned about the coding process because I was actually doing the process in a real life situation. the learning I had in class helped me to be able to know what to do. I thought this was the hardest area that I improved the most in this program because of the complexity of what needed to be learned. The hardest courses are the most educational! I think if I had to do this I could, but it definately isn't what I love. Did they teach it well? Yes, definately. I would have liked more exposure to reimbursement systems. 0 Yes Maintain electronic applications to manage health information I love working with health data and this program really gives me the opportunity to do what I love. I feel that I can manage health data with accuracy. Some assignments were really detailed and helpful. 0 Yes Model professional behaviors and ethics Feedback Great.
