Western Wisconsin Technical College

It teach me how to prepared for my career. It give me lots of
experiences of being a role of a Para. It teach me so many techniques
that I will need to know and will hlep me in my future. The instructors
is very flexiable and understanding. This program have helped me so
much.
Great program
I thought that the Instructor's were great, and really brought the
information across to us in many ways. I also loved how we got so
much experience in 2 years.
I loved the program, but sadly that it is going to be freeze for a long
time. I really wish it was still be here at western with three wonderful
instructors, whom showed their passion, learning experience, provide
great field training (practicumn1-3), and learning materials/lesson
plans. All my three instructiors has show me a new path to my journey
throughout the years and it is a great loss for this program and them.
Not even one instructor says that my scores matters, what matters
most the knowledge I gain out from the program and classes. Loved
this program so much that I would like to recommanded many
educators to take this program for a head-start into the education
systems/world.
I like that our program students get along and cooperate with each
othere very well. Our teachers provide us with the information we will
need in real life situations in the classroom. Our teachers also make
the classes fun!
First of all, I love my caring teachers that will always help and do their
best to be flexible. After that, I love the practicum experience that I've
had to learn and going somewhere new is always different and that
will build on my knowledge and skills.
I found this program exciting and vibrant and I am going to walk away
with knowledge that I can use in a school setting and st home! All the
instructors were very helpful and had great attitudes which helped me
learn better!
I really enjoyed being able to work with the students one on one.
Having the field experience is extremely useful. Shelly Bauer and
Patty Fellows are amazing instructors and none of this would have
been possible without them!
the field experiences
I really enjoyed this program very much. There were a ton of
opportunities for me to experience what my field of choice was going
to be like. I was able to express myself in many different manners that
benifited my learning.
I like how this program was offered online and in person. I would not
have been able to sucessfully complete the program without this
option.

Nothing, I loved everything about the program!
I really wouldn't change a thing about this program. Every class I had
has helped me on so many levels. I feel so prepared to go begin my
career in a school setting.
The only thing that I would change would be to make the Supporting
Students with Disabilities class a 16 week class. I feel that we
learned a lot in the 8 weeks, but maybe we could have gone more
indepth with some of the topics if we would have had more time.
Supporting students with diabilities needs to be a 16 week class.
I like having the 3 practicums, so I prefer to have it stay this way, but I
know that next year it will only be 2 practicums. I like to take
advantage of working at different schools. 2 practicum is not enough.
Nothing! I enjoyed it a lot. I hope it reaches more people in the future.
I don't think that this program shouldn't be change. I like the way is it.
nothing
I would change the portofolio section of the course. I would have the
students start their portofolio at the beginning of the program instead
of waiting to complete it at the end of the program. Otherwise the
program was awesome!
There is nothing to change in this program because I had gain all the
new information. This program meet what it is to be expected the
outcome, what needs to be understands, and field training.

There was always very open communication between the students
and staff.
Using effective communication is important in any work environment.
In education, we need to be able to communicate effectively with
teachers, other Instructional Assistants, students, principles, parents,
and so many more to see that the students get the best education
possible.
It help me so much to communication with my cooperating teachers,
my instructors, parents, classmates and students that I will be working
with.
I learned how to talk to cooperating teachers and students, along with
my own professors
Yes, all my teachers have effective communication skills.
As a class we communicate through e-mail or when we meet for face
to face classes
Instructors were able to email directly back to students for any
concerns and questions. Plus, phone calls too!
I have learned that without effective communication how are any of
us able to work in any setting.

In education, a person has to think on their feet and be ready to
expect what ever may come that day. During an IEP meeting we have
to be able to think critically and logically to help the student as best we
can.
There was a lot of logical assessments and was able to have a big
and small group discussions. Also, for any concerns for questions too!
Yes, especially in the field experience when I'm by myself and have to
make decisions and apply my skills.
yes i learned this very well thank you
I believe throughout my whole 2 years I have had to do this numerous
times on numerous assignments.

We all need science and it is like math it is in our everyday lives! I
know that I can take what I learned and apply it to the real school
setting. If you ask me I would rather not do it, it is my least favorite
subject!
We talkeed about this.
I am currently taking the class, "Techniques for Science", the
Instructor is amazing. I have learned a lot about questioning, science
safety, implementing lesson plans, and so much more. I feel I have a
much better understanding.
Tech. for teaching science taught me this
I had a great learning experience and was able to be creative.

Mathematics are very logical ways of thinking, but I have lists of
children's books and activites for different age levels to meet the
learning style of every student. I have created and demonstrated a
variety of different math teaching techniques, and have also taken the
class "Techniques for Math".
I like the mathematical concepts because I learned and improved a
from it! Plus, I get new techniques of math too!
I have learned that it is important in everyday life for everyone to be
able to do even basic concepts. Math is all around and it was one of
my favorite subjects!

We were always given an opportunity to work in a diverse population.
I was very thankful for this!
This one has been done and I understand how important it is to stay
ethical when you have such a diverse country now.
We learned about teamwork a lot our first year and it definitely helped
when I go out in the field.
I think we covered this very well. In "Teamwork in School Settings"
and "Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity" we covered the importance of this
outcome.

I had great working skills with others who are diverse and we had a
team of working together.

I am now able to navigate through a computer a little more clearly and
use some of the equipment in a classroom.
two classes based on technology

In many of my classes we discussed how the three ways of learning
are very important, and had practice implementing some lessons in
this way.
Yes, we do this every day in our field experience and we see it
through our teachers as well.
All of my intrustors did meeet their requirements to support all of the
students learning. We all feel like were a family and had a great time!
Using different learning techniques, Multiple Intell. and etc...
the one major thing I learned about all student learning is the multiple

an educator need to be able to step into a situation with confidence
and stand on our own.
Yes, paraeducators are definitely needed and this program should not

have learned a wide variety of strategies to put into practice while
working with both individual and groups of students.
