You learn these in first semester, but you never really go over them again except on exams. I know the semester is already packed so maybe a optional tutor math session second or third semester to review the math side of nursing. 0 Yes Monday, September 19, 2011 throughout the semester there was a lack of communication with staff and students, such as the graduation fee that was due, most didnt know about it until others were talking about it in classes. I think some teachers could respond to emails a little quicker a few times I emailed faculty members and didnt even get a response and then once I got a response but it was 2 weeks later I thought that was unacceptable. I felt like I was given the proper communication skills for a successful learning experience 0 Yes Transfer social and natural science theories into practical applications. Love the hands on feel, but there could be even more. Really get students involved in real life scenarios even in the class room. everything is very disorganized such as the acceptance to the program takes way to long and the instructors are not uniform with paper work and their abilities I would change it so that tests in the two theory classes could be on different weeks. I did not like how pharm was taught all that Rose did waas read off the power points seemed to learn more on days when Ramona taught. I would like to see the same exepectations and assignments throughout different clinical groups. 0 Yes Apply mathematical concepts. I loved that hands on experiences I was able to get from WTC I liked that they really want each student to succeed. It is a very tough course and the staff really make you work hard. I love the hands on feel and making each student feel important. I liked the helpful experiences i gained from clinical. 0 Yes Use effective communication skills. Already have them, but more would help even more to learn about the numerous topics. Cindy Casselius did a wonderful job in clinical always asking us questions that helped us use critical thinking skills. This is something that has developed as the experience progressed at times i felt that yes i did have to think critically, but i was disappointed in my med-surg hospital experience such as the maturnity portion. wish i could have seen something 0 Yes Yes 8 100.00% 0 0 Love the technology use... hate ITV classrooms Yes Use technology effectively. Cindy Casselius was awesome with always tring to offer positive comments that helped me to become more self confident about my abilities when sometimes I doubted them. sometimes a little shaky of what to expect RN vrs LPN in the classroom, but did refer me to other places to find that dividing line.
