It offered a base and also gave us an idea of what the program really entailed. The program structure of classroom lecture, on-hand labs, then clinicals to practice those new skills truly is the best format and works wonderfully. The instructors are wonderful, giving additional help where needed and even researching the answer to a question if they did not know the answer off-hand. I liked the teachers of this program they are amazing. There is so much material to cover and they are able to present it in a number of ways so everyone can understand. I liked the 1:1 with the instructors and outside attention where it was needed. When a question was not known, the instructor would get the answer and report it back in a timely matter. In addition, the knowledge and analogies the instructors provided assisted in my learning style. I loved all of the hands on experiences. It helped when applying what we learned in the classroom to what we were doing out at clinicals. All the hands on was very helpful That it was accelerated. Time was spent at clinical sites to reinforce skills learned in the lab. I learned a lot. Not just giving treatments, but interacting with patients and their families and doctors Very hands on, lots of great experience in the field I loved the teachers inthusiasm for the subject. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Monday, November 18, 2013 Feedback Western Wisconsin Technical College Better conflict resolution on the part of instructors. Can't do "team building" until you fix the "team"s communication problems. More organized lab time with teachers It would be nice if we had additional equipment or even newer equipment. At times it felt like it was rushed to get all the information taught in the time allotted. Maybe cover a little more of the basics (difference between CPAP, BiPAP, ventilators, and bronchial hygeine tools) before our first round of clinicals...there was a lot of confusion that first round. I would suggest spending less time on ECG subject matter and more time on equipment we will be utilizing in the field. Less clinical time at Mayo I would like there to be more equipment for the students to work with when they are learning in the lab. It seemed like we rushed through check offs. if we had one more staff for check offs things would go more smoothly because when both teachers are with students, the rest of us couldn't get questions answered. I would like it to be longer, and take the time to really continue and learn the material. i felt it was a fast! we went through material fast, and some topics i felt like i didnt get anything out of it Warmer room! More time for certain sections (more on bipap/cpap) Having a set day that you and the instructer would do clinicals together! decrease the amount of physician contacts 0 Yes Yes Apply mathematical concepts. Yes, I understood the math that was involved. I loved the math. it was easy and useful once you took the required math classes Teachers were more than willing to take extra time with students who had hard times with math and explained step by step in any way that was helpful to the specific student's learning ability My math skills improved!
