I really liked that we starting doing hands on stuff right off the bat. It was good to jump in right away getting hands on experience. I also really like doing clinic. It was really nerve-wracking the first few times, but once we got the hang of things, I really liked it. It was great to start making contact with people in the community & start working on people from the public rather than just working on one another. The best part was that each client was different & presented different problems that required me to stop & think about how I needed to alter their massage so it would be the most beneficial to them. It was a great learning experience & I know it made me a better massage therapist. I liked learning that I could do what ever I liked in the modalilies that we learned. I liked the hands-on approach and the clinical experience. I liked when the accupuncture guy came in to fill us in about it. I liked the hands on work Yes, I have learned about all the current information I need to know about Therapeutic Massage to achieve my dreams. I love that it's something hands on and you're learning something new every day. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Monday, September 19, 2011 Feedback Western Wisconsin Technical College I would suggest more use of the Salvo book, chapter by chapter from start to finish. Use of the syllabus more closely as it is written. More use of blackboard and e-mail as a means of communication. Post info early on and leave anything that will be used throughout the program posted. Expect students to use these mediums. Nothing. I think the cirriculum is useful. There needs to be a little bit more organization. it needs to be more organized. also i think maybe this should be a 2 yr program considering there is alot to learn and that we could also learn alot more modalities that the ones that we did. also the ones we did learn, some we spent very few time on and i feel like i could have learned more to a better extent if more time was provided. the organization could be improved on both in myself and the proffesor It would be nice to have pictures and mirrors on the walls in the clinic rooms. I would have liked for the teacher to be more organized, and more understaning when students are close to the required percent to pass. Organization, better organized Teacher could be much more organized. I don't think that Jeanne should be the one teaching pathology or business. I haven't really gained a whole lot from those classes & I think they could have been a lot better if they were instructed by someone else. I also think that Jeanne could do a better job of preparing us for the national exam. I think that an 8 week class that focused on that would be great. Right now, we have Nancy come in on Mondays & we review for about an hour, but I don't think it's been very beneficial. There's so much material covered on the national exam & reviewing for 1 hour a week doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what we'll be tested on. I don't feel prepared for the exam at all. the time frame 0 Yes Yes Apply mathematical concepts. Feedback Better use and more use of blackboard as reminders Yes.
