Q3 - What did you like about this program?
The hands on experience.
I learned a lot from the experience
Hands-on learning.
overall great program
Hands on experience, instructors and information given to us
very hands on
What I liked was the diversity of everything that we did from transmissions to brakes we covered a great
majoritity of automotive related items
learned lots in training aids
Learned well
It was great
learning new things about cars
I like all of the Hands-On stuff that we did in the labs and the variety of vehicles we got to work on.

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
I would like to see better communication. It would have been nice to be informed of all future projects so that
funds could have been "saved" for them rather than being given an estimate of $800 - $2000 before the coarse
started.
time management
Focus more on basic maintenance because it was a whole bunch of stuff to learn in a short class.
more lab time, more hands on learning, more practical real world applications
Longer periods of class time, more scan tool and electrical diagnosis 5 weeks is not long enough
Lab times 3 hours a day isn't enough

the hours. if you work at night you should get morning class
Some of the information we learned is irrelevant to what people do in the field. Also, some of the cars we have
to work are getting outdated to what we will see out in the industry and should be replaced.

Q39 - CONCLUSION Please use this space to share any other feedback,
comments, or suggestions about your experience at Western Technical
College.
I would have liked to have been part of the "esential experience". Being in the Automotive program, we really
weren't included in the many different functions on "Main" campus. Simply because we weren't notified of
them. I also would have liked to have been able to purchase any clothing in a size 3x. My many requests for
clothing that size were never answered. Lastly, I believe that the Automotive program should be longer. So
many topics could have been taught in much more depth. The automottive instructors have so much to offer,
but their hands are tied due to time constraints combined with the number of students in each class. I think
that the automotive instructors do the best they can with what time they have.
None
overall great experience, great instructors
My time here was very informative and now I can go back to my hometown and use my knowledge from here
to help others
one thing that I would change in this program I would show students more of the way things are done it the
real world vs the way they say we should do them I have noticed that between working in the field and working
on cars for western there is a big difference
Listen to the instructors for their student evaluations.
