I feel i had a great learning experience, i just wish we had a little more time to work on stuff and also if we had more equipment to work with I enjoyed the getting to know the instructors. All four of them are very good people, and very good teachers. You can tell that they all care about the students and teach them to the best of their ability. the teachers are nice I liked the small classes and being able to get to know everyone and it is a very friendly environment Lots of hands on, time spent in the shop I thought the program was pretty well spaced out. Of course i think it would be better if it could of been a little longer because some sections could definately be extended. I enjoyed the program and learned alot It was extremely educational and actually quite fun, a lot of hand on experience and great instructors I liked how the program mostly taught students on how to work on semi trucks. 75% of students will end up working on semis i thought the program was a good experience Really good program and proud to be apart of it and experience it. Had all the lesson to get you out the door and start your career. Need the equipment to be updated with newer equipment. I liked the lab portion of the class,it allowed for alot of teacher student interaction and it enabled me to learn better in my mind than being in the classroom being lectured.I also enjoyed the diesel related field trips to the john deere plant along with this upcoming trip to the zigler catapiller shop these trips allow us to see shops i would have never had the oppertunity to see if it hadn't have been for these trips-it also allows the students to get a glimpse of what it looks like out in industry. I thought that this was a verry good program overall. there was alot of information crammed in the 2 years we were here. i liked the heavy equipment part the most becuase i am more interested in the heavy equipment side. i would like to see this school do more with the heavy equipment side of the diesel feild in my opinion. i understand that its a lot of money to fork out. I liked that the instructors were motivated to teach me and help out when I asked them. I like the shop and the amount of equipment that is available for learning. i like the different amount of vehicles to work on. there are many styles of equiptment and this course has given me the opportunity to work on them. All instructors knowledge about equipment and if they didn't have the answer they would try to find it in a timely manner. I don't have any complaints. Maybe make it a 3 year program so that some more of the material can be covered more thoroughly like the heavy equipment, or engines. we should not have to pay so much for parking passes. because we only park down there once a week I would like more hands on time I wish we had more variety of equipment to work on I think that this program could be a 3 year program, there is so much to learn and not enough time to get it all in I would like it if there was more time accosiated with the program,or if the student could personalize the program to what they would like to do after school and when they go on to industry.If the instructors were around more to answer your questions it would be more helpful (this comment excludes duane yachawak-he's always been around )and possibly focus more on what is a commonly worked on in industry so were ready for whats to come once schools over with. I would add an additional semester for the advanced engine course to allow the students more time to apply and reinforce their computer and engine knowledge which is the most important part of being a good technition. The extra classes that were not related to the diesel program could be better used for this perpose. the shop that is used by the diesel program is very outdated and "rough". it has surpassed the useful age of the building and should be considered for a rebuild. Make it a 3 year course. There is so much more information that could have either been taught or could have just spent more time on the things that were already being taught. Lots of new technology that I felt were not even really touched and old information as well. I would change nothing, the course was great i would like to have more one on one time with teachers. the teachers should be out in the shop more when students are. if the the teacher needs to leave the shop. jhe should let students know where hes going. i spent many hours looking for teachers thinking they disapered off the face of the world Page 2 of 6 Outcome Yes No Unk NA Result Yes Yes Yes Use effective communication skills. 21 100.00% 0 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes 21 100.00% 0 0 maybe lengthen the program if at all possible. the amount of information given was alot in a short amount of time in the electrical we were given. there are other parts that dont need as much time but i know that this program has been going for a while and it just works. but i would like to see more time in a few of the longer and tougher coarses. more one on one time with instructor and student in the shop teaching Needs more equiptment to work on. 0 Yes Apply mathematical concepts. Feedback i was good at communication at the beginning of college. so it might have helped me with my wrighting. im sure it helped people that are shyer It was an okay class it was good all the time very good Yes they do the communication skills were fairly decent. we as students all have different ways of learning and its the harderst part for a teacher to adapt to all of that. there were a couple of instincts where i got frustrated but i have learned i just need to speak up over it and things will get better. ??? No idea what you mean ??? I think i have good cummunication skills. we had classes about communication and did plenty of verbal comunication which in my opinion helped me alot The communication was very good in all areas. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes ok i have always excelled in math so i see no problems. todd shaw was a great teacher for it. yes but the math teacher was terrible ???????????????? good Came to myself very easy! very good. i was very impressed with todd shaw!!!!!!! very great teacher. wish i had him all 2 years so i didnt forget my mathematics Nice to learn for electronical we applied the math we learned but there was not a large amount of math dealt with throughout the program which was perfectly fine The teacher was somewhat of an air head with some of the students. We use a large variety of technology each and every day, so we get really good at using it Somewhat. very well we used the laptops and diognotics which was great yes Need more I feel that we really need more advanced tools to keep up with the technology advances. technology was good yes they do yes we have been drilled with it and its great Yes Yes Yes 0 it was easy every single day for pretty much all of the day good helped me lots Yes 21 100.00% verry much so it made us think critically wether it was proper or not we had to think all the time very good made me wise good Had real life situtation stories explained to use and what was the outcome.
