The instructors are fantastic. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Hands on experience I liked that the instructors trained use like we were at a job. The instructors made it fun to be at school. I liked this program for the fact that I have been raised on a farm, and hope to continue farming. Diesel and heavy equipment is something that will be used on the farm. I liked the facility and the tools that we had to use over the last two years here. That it was hands on. The teachers are great for the most part. They know what they are teaching and are always willing to help when needed. Classes aren't to big and the homework is easy going. the electrical and heavy equipment part of this class, because there was something to learn in those. the hands on aspect of teaching I liked that the instructors were all easy to work with. All are good, friendly people. I liked how informational it was, it really added to my knowledge about mechanics and helped me a lot in the workplace. I liked everything A lot of hands on experience. The teachers know what they are teaching. Learned slot about my trade to make going into the work force alot easier. It was a great learning experience and the facilities are awesome. learned tons Q4 - What would you change about this program? I don't thin k I would change anything for the program. Need more advanced technology. The program has made improvements, but it is still way behind where the industry is now. Less book work, entirely hands on I would like to see more with the Ag and heavy equipment. I would like to see an agricultural part to this program, or maybe even as an add on or separate course. I would also like to see some more modern trucks, tractors, and equipment to work and troubleshoot on as we are kind of behind the times here with the technology that is seen in workforce. The welding program was a joke Need a lot of newer equipment to catch up to the times. The equipment also needs diversity between the brands. Need different makes and models of truck brands and engines. We have the technology but not the equipment to learn on. The Engine and pm part of this program because they were soooooooo repetitive yes I would want to go more indepth with the emission systems on engines. It is a new problem that needs to be addressed. Some of the programs didn't follow the curriculum well, for one whole semester I was on one project that really wasn't giving me any learning experience. Welding class was a joke. I have no idea Classes need to be shorter instead of 8 hours a day. Some of us work full time and it is overwhelming working full time and going to school full time. Newer equipment to work on. classes need to be shorter for conflicting schedules Q6 - As a result of this program: Q6_1 - I have learned effective communication skills. The facility is great. We just need some more advanced technology to get up to speed with the industry. very good program. I would suggest it to people out of the area this program needs to be revalutated The program was fun The welding class was a joke. Did not learn anything new the second year. I think it was very beneficial for me to take this program to take the next step in my career. classes could have more added to them. feel like most classes were drawn out and time could have been utilized better. Attendance should not have been mandatory. Paid for the program should have the choice to show up or not especially if there was conflicting schedules.
