1. What did you like about this program?
Text Response
Working on the heavy equipiment and being able to drive and operate the stuff.
I liked all the material covered. I liked that we were able to operate the equipment.I also liked
how every teacher would drop what they are doing and try to help you with whatever you
needed help with. I also liked how all the teachers were more than qualified and could help you
on many different types of equipment and different parts of that equipment.
the tearing apart and the experice of the heavy equitment
engine rebuilding and everything in the heavy equipment class
I liked how this program was a lot of hands and that you stayed in one class for the day.
i liked how it was a lot of hands on
tearing things apart and learning about them
That all the teachers in the program are willing to stop and take time out of thier life to help you
on anything that you have a problem with.
I liked the Heavy Equipment course the most, mainly because of the teaching habits of Duane
Yachwak. He is a great teacher and the college is very lucky to have his knowledge to give to
students.

2. What would you change about this program?
Text Response
Make the progam longer for those that are more intrested in the heavy equipiment side of
things.
Don't make the teachers deal with all the planning for the new building, they should have been
helping us, instead the college made them go through planning of new building, setting up the
new building and everything involved with it I would make it so kids could obtain their CDL
through the school as well(with an additional fee)
make it longer
have heavy equipment be longer
I would try to get newer equipment in the program and the instructors trained on the equipment.
newer equpment more technology
make it longer, not enough time to learn about important things
up to date teaching videos and machines
Having more emissions education

Text Response
I think you should have the teachers at the school go take classes on how to use a computer
effectively. There were multiple times where a student had to help a teacher figure out how to
use the computer.

that i have to take my time on thing to see what the problem is and not to rush myself
The majority of people that go to the school here all came from the same background so it was
easy to get along.

27. CONCLUSION - Please use this space to share any other
feedback, comments, or suggestions about your experience
at Western Technical College.
Text Response
all in all the experience at wtc was good i would change the english teacher because she does
not do to good of a job, and i would also get rid of jason lewis because all he does all day is sit
around and drink coffie of work on personal stuff for his fan boats. he dont pay any attention of
his kids.
the experience was good execpt for a few of the teachers were impossible to find at times when
you needed to ask a question you spent half the time looking or waiting for a teacher rather then
working duane was the best teacher in the program i think. And it wasnt very good having the
students move all the stuff into the new shop while we are paying to learn
applied communications was bad. Students should not have had to move everything in the
diesel shop. We pay to learn, not to move all of the colleges stuff. Moving the equipment is
understandable, but all the other stuff should have been moved by a moving company. i feel
that i paid tuition, and the gas it takes to get to school for 2 weeks just to be the colleges
laborer.
need newer stuff to work on and newer videos
I thought my experience was good, the college was out of date with technology, after working in
industry for a year and a half while going to school I realized that more emissions education
would be helpful
