I am much more comfortable talking about technical matters and my
communication skills in general have improved.
I believe I was able to learn the skills necessary to communicate
effectively. The Technical Reporting class I went through was very
good.
Need to be more clear about transfer to UWL..............Misleading

Yes

Transfer social and natural science theories
into practical applications.

Start programming in the first year and continuing it throughout the
next semesters would be very helpful.
I would align the programming classes more closely with that of
UWL's and focus on teaching programming fundimentals rather than
covering so many languages.
There are some issues with the credit load taking Calculus 1 & 2 for
transfer, but these did not affect me because I had taken them ahead
of time.
I feel we played around with to many computer languages, it would be
beneficial to learn one language well then learn eight.
Instead of offering 2-3 different programming languages, I would like
to concentrate on one language.

Apply mathematical concepts.

The ability to transfer to a Bachelor's degree, as well as the
competency and support from the staff at Western.
Yes, but I felt that the programming aspect weren't as helpful as it
couldve been. I didn't feel the the course that I took for programming
sufficiently prepared me for transfering to UW-L's computer science
program.
There was both hardware and software.
Studying both the hardware and software side of electronics was nice.
The course load to finish in 2 years and transfer was a bit intense.
I liked that we got to learn some of the electronics as well as
programming. And a lot of the learning process was hands on.

Feedback

Electronics and programming is nothing if not the application of
mathematical concepts!
Def. challenged
Yes I enjoyed math before this but seen ways to apply it have made it
much more useful.

This topic should probably be covered more. It is something I am
greatly interested in on my own.

I was fortunate to have an excellent class of students to work with in
and outside of school.

Yes

Demonstrate ability to think critically.

i feel it worked out good

The CET project course gave us a great opportunity to do this, as well
as the LabView final project.
Yes. Tho, I think we couldve used a few more small build projects.
Nothing on the scale of our final (CET) project, but smaller scale
circuit design.

Build electronic circuits and systems

Mostly learned in early DC/AC classes, but still stressed throughout
the program. It might be nice to get more experience with logic
analyzers or spectrum analyzers, if these can be incorporated into the
Digital and Communications classes.
Yes
Being able to purchase those ancient oscilliscopes would be nice.

Yes
needs work
Not as many chances to do this, apart from just a few reports we do.
Many of the labs are fill-in-the-blank style, which is necessary due to
time limitations, but a few more free-form reports could be useful.
