Yes, we used effective communication skills in working with lab partners, demonstrating our learning to the instructors, and in classroom presentations. 0 Yes Transfer social and natural science theories into practical applications. Electronics is an ever-changing field and there are maybe somethings that could have been covered but weren't because of time. On that note somethings there were taught maybe didn't need to be covered in much detail or at all because of the way that the tendancies have shifted. I would not change much at all about it. I think it is very well rounded. I don't know. 0 Yes Yes Apply mathematical concepts. There was a lot of hands on use of the techniques and skills that were included in the courses. Instructors were knowledgable and wanted everyone to exceed. I liked the variety of lab activities, the medium class size, and the friendliness of the instructors. The instructors were also very helpful and knowledgeable. Challenged me. 0 Yes Use effective communication skills. Feedback The techniques and skills taught in math were directly applied on a day to day basis. The only time a skill was taught that wasn't really needed it was only because it showed either why things happen the way they do or grow at a reasonable speed. Math was a very common thing to apply to our learning of electronics throughout this program. 0 Yes Yes Yes to a certain extent these areas were used, but not as much as electrical science. All theories were shown not only on paper but usually in a real life example. Sometimes. Yes This was definitely applied, on a daily basis. Yes Demonstrate ability to think critically. Yes, we had to be confident in our own abilities to succeed, and had to work ethically with our lab partners. Trust was given only when it was deserved. 0 Yes Use technology effectively. 3 100.00% 0 0 0 Yes Yes Make decisions that incorporate the importance of sustainability 3 100.00% 0 0 There was a good blend of both brute calculations and hands on use of the various equipment. This was the basis of our program. 0 Yes Yes Yes Apply electronic theory to practice 3 100.00% 0 0 Yes, because it was taught that energy shouldn't be wasted. It was clear that no one was waiting to hit a crossroads because then it was sometimes too late to make a decision. Really good planning was key to staying on top of things. The last semester involved lots of applying of the theory which was great to bring things into perspective. This was also the basis of the entire program. 0 Yes Operate test equipment 3 100.00% 0 0 0 Yes Yes Build electronic circuits and systems 3 100.00% 0 0 Are there pieces of equipment that would have been nice to also include. YES. But I feel all of the bases were covered and now I can just build upon them. Very often in the lab activities. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Evaluate the operation of electronic circuits or systems 2 66.67% 1 33.33% 0 Very often in the lab activities. Not as much the last semester as I thought I would. No only did we build simple things but at times multiple circuits were combined to show the utility and how different circuits interact. There is no way to cover all the possible configurations but concepts were given on how to interpret schematics and physical circuits. Very often in the lab activities. 0 Yes Communicate technical information 3 100.00% 0 0 0 Yes Yes Monday, November 18, 2013 Western Wisconsin Technical College Technical informations is very different than everyday communications and does require the concept of audience and technique. Yes, in the formal lab reports.
