Q3 - What did you like about this program?
It was only 1 year
I enjoyed learning about all of the new technology.
I learned about electronics.
First and foremost the teachers. They play a key role to our success and they surely did their jobs. Classmates. I
have made friends for life this year. Each and everyday was a good one and they made learning easy and fun.
Training tools. The tools we used are up to date with what we will see in industry and will have helped prepare us
for our future jobs in the best way possible.
The hands on with wiring and motor control
I personally liked my instructor and the way he made us all learn and challenged us. Western has the newest
campus around and amazing facilities. my overall experience was fun every day, and I learned everyday.
one year program and the instructor is friendy

Q4 - What would you change about this program?
Nothing
I would've liked to learn more about house wiring instead of just electronics.
Less tests
none
Provide students with a better way to be taught fluid power, pumps, gearboxes, etc courses. I feel like I didn't
graduate from those classes with the best understanding of what was supposed to be taught. Start at 9 am :)
Nothing
The budget for XXXXX because he knows what he is talking about and knows what he needs to better the
program.

I learned how to work a lot better with somebody.
We had people from all walks of life. Different ages, races, and skill sets. It was very interesting getting to know

helped me with my communication skills.

I really liked how we learned math that applied to what we were learning and nothing more. I think everyone got
more out of it that way because they didn't feel like they were wasting their time and money on something that
they would forget after the math test.

Everyday we used new technology from PLCs to scope meters. Western and the IEM program offered a very
diverse way of learning and the technology we used to learn with is a big contributor to that.
I had no idea how to use the equipment and now I can use it all

Q17 - Provide any comments you have on what you learned about valuing yourself and
working ethically with others in a diverse population.
College is definitely different than High school. I was away from my family so I had to rely on myself to wake u
each and every morning and make it to class on time. College has brought out the best of what I am capable of
and even though I brought a strong work ethic to college with me, the college experience has only strengthened
it.

I came into this program with very little knowledge of electricity and other program material. I may have come in
blind but my teachers made sure I didn't leave that way. I have learned so much this year and it has pushed me to
continue learning at the associates degree level. It is a new challenge I look forward to
