Also I think that the small classes that Western offers are great because the teacher to student time is awesome and very helpful. This was also a great program because it gives me a wide variety of knowledge and opens my job potential very far. I liked the labs and hands on experience that I gained from the program. It was a very personal experience. The Instructors cared about how I did, and work to help me succeed. The instructors are very helpful and have care about your success. I learned a lot in the program and think the instructors did an excellent job of getting me ready for a job in the field. the number of students was very good and easily manageable. a lot of real world hands-on learning. I enjoyed all my classes. I like that Bill Welch taught the majority of it. You should dedicate something electrical related in his honor. If you don't I think it would be serious injustice considering the Welch name at this institution. I was introduced to many aspects of electrical power systems and automated control systems The broad field of focus. Hands on learning, and I was able to see how Mechanical drives and mechanisms work. 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Monday, September 19, 2011 Feedback Western Wisconsin Technical College I can't think of anything, it was a great experience for me! the program was good as a whole, if powssible I would like to see a change in the general classes. Nothing I would add more printed reference material for the lab assignments in the final semester nothing More funding for larger class projects. The only thing I would Change about the program might be to add a little more in depth instuction concerning PLC programming. I would have mitch schultz instruct more classes for the benefit of the students. The man is brilliant. I liked the program just the way it was. Tech. Math, It was I killer for me, but I do understand way it was needed. I would add welding to the program. It's much more important to get the maximum time from the instructors learning what we'll be using on our jobs. Communication is a very important skill to all jobs. learned to huse effective communication skills well. I was able to understand and give feedback. Communication skill was great. YES very good as far as the program classes, not so much in general classes. Yes, working in groups frequently forced communication. Yes. I have no problem with that area of instruction. Math is not my forte' but tech math with Todd Shaw was a terrific learning tool I'll be able to use at home and on the job. It was hard for me to start thinking about complex math, because I had been out of school for a long time. Most of my instructors were very patient and understanding. I feel like I have a better grasp on mathematical concepts. Math is used in all jobs and is essensial to electromechanical. I believe Tech Math 1 should be spilt into two semesters. And there should be a better screeing process before allowing students to take Tech Math 1. I had I very hard time with Tech. Math 1B, but I was able to retake the clas; self study in the math lab and with instructors help I was able to get through it. very good YES 0 Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes Demonstrate ability to think critically.
