It is very important to use safety and sanitation in the kitchen. This
class has made me even more aware of how I do things at home.
I feel I am good at keeping my work area clean and sanitary. I feel
that I help others to keep there areas clean and sanitary.
I think I am able to communicate well with others. I am able to work
with most people and I think most people can talk to me and work
together with no problems.
Yes I have effective communication skills. I did very well in Theo

I really cant think of anything I would change. I thought everything we
studied was covered very well.
I wouldn't change anything about this program its well planned out
and done.
I think I have learned how to follow a standardized recipe good. Most
recipes had good instructions and were easy to follow.
I can produce a standardized recipe. I do know that a standardized
recipe is used to get a consistent product everytime.
I don't think I would change anything about this program, except
maybe even more time cooking. I think we cooked quite a bit but
probably could have done more.

I liked the fact that I got to do alot of hands on cooking and baking. I
learn better with hands on learning!
I liked this program because it taught me how to cook when i didn't
have any skills what so ever.

I feel I do alright with my math concepts but I could do better. It
wouldn't hurt for me to keep reviewing so that I can think of things
right off the top of my head.
I think that I have good production techniques and that if shown how
to do something one way I am good at doing that same thing the
same way all the time.

When you are making food you need to know how much food costs
so you know how much to charge people. You also don't want a lot of
waist because you are just loosing money then.
I do feel comfortable doing this
I think I have learned that you don't add salt at the beginning when
you are using yeast to make bread because you can kill the yeast. I
know that using steam for baking affects the way you bake stuff too. I
think that I also work well with everyone which makes things go well.

Math comes easy for me. I have no problem in this area

I had a hard time with math only because math isn't my strongest
subject so that was the only thing about math was my problem. But
the teaching was good just i didn't understand and I didn't get it right
away.

Feedback

I think that I have good professional work habits. I can be shown how
to do something and do it the same way that I was shown without
being shown over and over.
I can do this. Feel very comfortable.
They made us think alot with our recipes we were given and even in
the big kitchen 2nd semester when we were basically given a recipe
and had to perform and do it right on the spot.
I think I am good at figuring things out but I do need more confidence
in myself. I do ask lots of questions because I'm not sure.

I find that I have good work ethics and I work well with many diverse
people. I have been in the military and worked in lots of factorys with
many diverse people. I have very good values and care about how I
am perceived by others.

This was a okay thing because the technology wasn't that hard you
just had to work with the flow. the stoves, flat tops, soup kettles.
fryers you got taught somethings but not alot so you just had to wing
it most of the time.
I think I can use technology pretty good and don't have many
problems with stuff like that.

I learned that you can save on waist by using the whole onion,
carrots, and celery for stock instead of throwing away the rest. You
can safe money that way by using as much as you can instead of
throwing away so much.
