Signature of Hiring Manager / Supervisor Place this form in instructor’s file Date January 2016 ADULT AND CONTINUING EDUCATION Each adult and continuing education instructor shall complete an application for employment, or shall provide a resume, presenter profile, or similar information. The document must contain information pertaining to the individual's occupational experience and educational preparation. Note: A signed Verification of Occupational Experience (VOE) form and/or a transcript is not required by the WTCSB (Wisconsin Technical College System Board), but may be requested at the discretion of the local district. Adult and continuing education instructors of courses receiving state or federal aid shall meet one of the three following certification standards: Program certification in the instructional area or Unique qualifications or: Alternative certification criteria IMPORTANT – Program certification or unique qualifications cannot be used to supersede alternative certification criteria required by other state or federal agencies or accepted governing associations. Instructional areas requiring alternative certification criteria include 057, 162, 194, 195, 302, 303, 307, 311, 314, 316, 317, 401, 402, 427, 449, 458, 467, 475, 502, 503, 504, 510, 531, 533, 625, 807, 812, 816, 817, and 818. A certificate is not issued for these instructors. Program Certification Instructors who hold program certification in the same area in which they are teaching Adult and Continuing Education Courses (ACE) shall meet the ACE certification requirement. Unique Qualifications This option may be used by individuals with unique qualifications. If this option is used, the following supporting documentation must be on file at the district: A completed VE-CE 112 Certification Application form, application for employment, resume, or presenter profile signed by the instructor. A written description of the unique qualifications of the individual, which might include a signed statement of support from a person with subject area knowledge. The signature of the hiring dean or supervisor. Copies of any industry, state, or governmental certificates applicable to the area of assignment. Alternative Certification Criteria Adult and continuing education instructors who posses the education, occupational experience, or specific knowledge required for the instructional assignment as identified in Guideline 49 list of alternative criteria required by other state or federal agencies or accepted governing associations. Currently these instructional areas include 057, 162, 194, 195, 302, 303, 307, 311, 314, 316, 317, 401, 402, 427, 449, 458, 467, 475, 502, 503, 504, 510, 531, 533, 625, 807, 812, 816, 817, and 818.
